1. The Umbral Fang — Imminent Threat
UrgentThe most consistently threatening faction. They've been absorbing Scarlet Razor territory, and Skirrt warns they've been "unusually quiet." His parting words: "You'll know soon enough — look for the people that are looking for you." They asked Skirrt about the party just days ago. Former Scarlet Razor thief Vidorant defected to them.
2. Gnexus vs. Darkpowders — Double Agent Dilemma
Active DecisionDarkpowders want flaming skull fuel cells (1,000gp/cell). Lt. Harthrand Hammerhand is the contact. Gnexus Agent Constant Ballridge wants stolen clearance units recovered (1,500gp each + 500gp if operational). Both sides are courting the party — and they're on opposite sides of the same conflict.
3. Gnexus Thought Exchange Machine
ActiveAt the Gnexusversary, the "Thought Exchange Research Vessel" was unveiled — 9 alumni consciousnesses encased in crystals. Korvak confirmed it's their trapped minds. Professor Godwick and Bleema-Bla-Bla are behind it. The research base is deep underground.
4. The Xyraxian Ring — Cosmic MacGuffin
DormantGolden ring with white glowing gem — "the only thing that can destroy Xyraxis." Sits in a portable hole. Crates bearing Xyraxian Empire sigils keep showing up. Princess Zendali's rebellion fleet is out there. The Empire harvests planetary cores — its star is dying.
5. The Fungal Threat
ActiveSlow-burn since session 1. Every impact site has a central growth. After killing the mushroom god, the ground rumbled. Gnexus deployed flaming skull automata and a draconic skeleton defense. The fungus broke apart an entire planet and moon.
6. The Maw — Crankshaft's Calling
ActiveSlowly expanding. Autognomes are a hive mind with symbiotic slime. Crankshaft feels compelled to throw things in — doing so erases all memories of that object. The mushroom god targeted Crankshaft specifically because it hates the Maw. Walls lined with columns and old buildings.
7. St. Peter & The Golden Goblet
ActiveAt the Temple of Celestian, St. Peter saw a sextant, chalice, and morning star constellation through the telescope — the chalice spoke to him. The priests gave him a golden goblet with gems and ivory. This divine calling hasn't been followed up.
8. Prophecies Disappearing
MysterySt. Peter had a déjà vu at the Temple of Light that faded. Crankshaft had a feeling about Piko but couldn't remember why. Neither ever got their fortune told — prophecies are disappearing.

Hammerstone Parliament
Dwarven clans that govern by yelling. Home to Blackpowder clan. Party has connections through Varren. Hammerstone Mining runs the Fell Echo Mines.
Gnexus Government
Gnomish city-state focused on magical research. Gerent Darling + Bleema-Bla-Bla. Agent Ballridge is intelligence. Major orgs: Alchemist Guild, Silver Thorn, Banking Alliance, Artificers.
The Scarlet Razors
Formerly powerful, now in decline. Vidorant defected to Umbral Fang. Territory being absorbed. Jimmy Wheels controls their shipyard.
Xyraxian Empire
Dying empire harvesting planetary cores. Party deposed Prince Zenith, installed Princess Zendali. Rebellion fleet exists. Ring that can destroy Xyraxis is in party's portable hole.
Hunter's Guild (Brawl)
Rock of Brawl. Hammondstock full member. Half-price ammo. Current lead: giant crow in volcanic cave.
